Capcora Accompanies Sale of PV Platform Milk The Sun to AKV Holding

Milk the Sun, the marketplace for commercial PV projects and services, which is up for sale as part of a comprehensive succession plan, has a new owner.

The company is being taken over by AKV Holding GmbH, which is managed by Andreas Köhler. Both parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the details of this transaction. Köhler is also the founder of Solar Direktinvestment GmbH. The shareholders of Milk the Sun were accompanied in the sales process by the Frankfurt-based consulting firm Capcora.

In selecting a suitable partner, the strategic orientation of the investor was of decisive importance to the shareholders. Other concerns included continuity in the professional management of the company and job security for employees.

“The acquisition of Milk the Sun is a significant milestone in the development of our company. We are confident that AKV Holding is the right choice to ensure the continuation of our work in the renewable energy sector”, said Dirk Petschick, previous shareholder and managing director of Milk the Sun. “Our task was to coordinate the entire process in close collaboration with the shareholders. We are pleased to have found a reliable partner to ensure the company’s future development,” added Jochen Magerfleisch, Managing Partner at Capcora.

Founded in 2012, Milk the Sun has established itself as a leading international marketplace for direct investment in commercial PV projects and services. The company has supported transactions in more than 50 countries worldwide, with its primary market in mature Central European countries, particularly Germany. Since its inception, Milk the Sun has brokered over 1,000 PV projects worldwide with a total capacity of approximately 1.9 GWp and a transaction volume of just over one billion euros.
