The US fuel cell company Bloom Energy and the IT company Core Weave, which specialises in specific cloud solutions, have agreed on a cooperation.
Under the strategic partnership, Bloom will use its fuel cells to generate on-site power for Core Weave at a high-performance data centre owned by Chirisa Technology Parks in Volo, Illinois.
The modern data center will allow for high-density deployments with advanced cooling systems, allowing CoreWeave to offer performant and efficient cloud solutions for AI. Bloom’s fuel cells are set to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2025.
„This validation from CoreWeave, a leader in AI, is a testament to our leading-edge technology and its importance to AI,“ said Aman Joshi, Chief Commercial Officer of Bloom Energy.
„We’re proud to partner with Bloom Energy and utilize their industry-leading solid oxide fuel cell technology. This partnership will allow us to deliver unmatched performance and reliability to our customers while advancing our sustainability objectives,“ said Brian Venturo, Chief Strategy Officer of Core Weave, about the collaboration.
