Ørsted has announced that Sunflower Wind, a 200MW wind farm developed by the company in Kansas, United States, has entered operations.
The plant was built in Marion County and is Ørsted’s 13th operational wind farm in the United States, totalling 832MW in capacity in the Southwest Power Pool.
For the successful installation of Sunflower Wind, Ørsted firmed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with numerous companies, including PepsiCo, Levi Strauss & Co., and Walmart.
