Galileo Green Energy has disclosed plans for the development of a 533MW wind farm in Scotland. Named Dorenell Extension Wind Farm and Biodiversity Enhancement Plan, will be near Dufftown, across the Cabrach and Glenfiddich Estates.
Further details on the project’s details will be revealed in its proposal, which will be published on 28 May. Consultations with the local community will be carried out by Galileo right after that.
For now, the developer has informed that the proposed wind farm will feature 74 turbines, a battery storage facility and a plan to restore 870 hectares of peatland.
Once up and running, the power plant will be able to supply over 570,000 homes.
