Energiequelle Starts Construction Work at Krummensee Wind Farm in Brandenburg

A few weeks ago, the company, which is internationally active in the fields of project planning and operational management of wind energy, biomass and photovoltaic plants as well as substations and storage facilities, began construction of the Krummensee wind farm in the federal state of Brandenburg.

Work is currently underway on the access road, the crane parking area and the installation of the extinguishing water tank. The first of three Enercon E-138 wind turbines with a hub height of 160 metres and an output of 4.2 MW is scheduled to go into operation in summer 2024. In total, the wind farm will then have a total output of 12.6 MW.

In addition to the turbine currently under construction, two more turbines are planned, although the start of construction is currently delayed due to legal proceedings. René Straeter, project manager at Energiequelle, is nevertheless relieved: “The project team is delighted that we have been able to start construction of one of the three turbines. After six years of planning, it is a special milestone when construction begins.”

Energiequelle has built more than 850 plants with a total output of almost 1,600 MW across Europe and currently employs more than 450 people at 21 locations in Germany, France, Finland and Poland.
