Boskalis has successfully completed installation works for the first substation of the Moray West offshore wind farm in Moray Firth, Scotland. The company continues to work on the installation of monopiles at the project’s site.
According to developer Ocean Winds, a joint venture between Engie and EDP Renewables, activities were carried out by the Bokalift1 crane ship.
Once complete, Moray West will be a 800MW offshore wind farm adjacent to the existing 950MW Moray East. It will feature 60 turbines, which are expected to start power generation in 2025.
