In Sweden, the Götene Biogas project marks yet another important step toward the green transition!
Lundsby is currently finalizing the biogas plant in Götene for Gasum, and we expect full operation by early 2025.
We are now in the commissioning phase, ensuring a smooth transition to full-scale biogas production. Soon, the upgrading process will begin, converting biogas into biomethane.
🔹 Capacity: 400,000 tons of biomass per year
🔹 Production: 133 GWh of liquefied biogas (LBG) – ideal for heavy transport and shipping
🔹 Sustainable Fertilizer: 350,000 tons of eco-friendly fertilizer will be returned to local farmers
Götene Biogas will be able to cover the annual energy consumption of approximately 6,000 households or power around 15,000 cars driving 15,000 km per year.
